Artist Talk Screenings

Loose Frames began in the Winter of 2019. The first screening was held at Leiminspace in Chinatown LA. Due to the pandemic, it went on a two-year hiatus. Since March of 2022, the screenings have taken place at Heavy Manners Library in Echo Park.

 The Loose Frames Screenings are unique in that they are curated retrospectives focused on two or three artists per show. It functions as a way to see how those artists have grown and also what they consistently come back to in themes. We have a Q&A after every screening with the artists to learn about their process and influences. It is a great way to learn and see how an animator works and meet other animators!
